In this curated selection of recent short films, we spotlight the boundless creativity of emerging ASEAN filmmakers. Breaking free from traditional cinematic boundaries, these works showcase a rich variety of genres and cinematography, utilising music and sound design to push the limits of innovative storytelling. From the deeply authentic and energetic to the whimsical and unapologetically absurd, each narrative reflects a fresh, evolving way of seeing the world. Through these diverse practices and dynamic perspectives, we get to witness the unmistakable, vital frequency of tomorrow’s cinema.
